About

Who We Are

With the support of the Whitten-Newman Foundation and the Sam Noble Museum, Explorology began in 2007 to give young people hands-on experiences in the field of science. Intending to encourage more young people to pursue science, Explorology has seen over 100,000 students participate.

What We Do

The Explorology Foundation is continuing the same work we have always done. Both students and teachers have the chance to experience science adventures outdoors and in the museum. In addition to in-person learning opportunities, teachers can receive professional development hours by attending workshops provided by OERB as well as free field trips for their students. These educational encounters are available for grades K – 12 and include many of the programs listed below.
